Why Use Wooden Venetian Blinds On Your Windows

First impression always last. If you wanted your visitors to have a good impression on your house, you might want to consider beautifying your windows. Why windows? Because it is one of the key points that anyone notices in any house and because it is the one of the components of house or any structure visible from outside and inside. The light from the outside attracts people towards the windows. If you wanted to beautify your window, you should consider putting accents to it and one of these would be to use wooden venetian blinds.

Recently, I’ve gone through some remodeling around the home to spruce it up. The whole living space was looking too modern and didn’t give off that home feeling. I wanted a place that I could come home to and just know this was a place that felt lived in and not cold. Well, long story short, I decided to use more wood and give the place a more natural look.

I personally prefer wood than any type of blinds primarily because wood never go out of trend or fashion. Wood finish on any surface or product tends to last forever and will always compliment whatever style or theme you will be using. Wood is a natural material so putting it on any room would make the occupant more relaxed and comforted.

You might be asking why not a curtain instead of wood venetian blinds?

• First, blinds especially wood type are easy to clean and all you need to do is polish them while curtains needs to be washed to make it look the way it was first installed.

It is important NOT to use water on wooden blinds because this can warp the wood. Use a dusting cloth to pick up the dirt. If you must use water, make sure the water does not remain on the wood to dry. Use another dry towel to wipe off the excess immediately.

• Second, wood blind's quality will improve as years go, which mean you do not have to replace them every week, month, years, or maybe not at all. While curtain's quality and color decreases as years go, which means you have to replace them over and over again as years pass by.
• Third, blind's color could be change if you are already bored with its current color. You do not need to buy new blinds to replace your old wooden venetian blinds. You could make it a darker stain or maybe put it in a different color like dark brown, white, or maybe any color you will like. While in curtains, once you have bought a curtain, you have to use and stick with it unless you have bought a new curtain because you cannot change it color and design.
• Fourth, there would be less maintenance with blinds rather than with curtains. To sum it all up, as years go by, you will save more in window blinds that in curtains.
