Removing And Stopping Ingrown Hairs Equipment
By thejovial
Ingrown hairs can be a pain, literally. They are caused by a number of things, but, for the most part, there are two common causes. The first is an accumulation of dead skin cells clogging your pours. This can come from shaving or just having dry skin. The other is if a coarse hair grows in a curled pattern in the hair follicle. Sometimes it is genetics other times it is just how we treat our skin as to why we get ingrown hair. There are however a couple of ways to deal with these issues.
Ingrown Hair Tweezers
Ingrown hair tweezers are a great way to get rid of this pesky problem. These are not your average tweezers. They are sharp and thin at the end to get into the skin and remove the hair. Now keep in mind tweezers are only useful if you can see the hair. You do not want to open a wound in the area just to try to get to the hair. If you cannot see the hair try using a warm compress or exfoliating the area for a couple of days to remove some of the dead skin. When you see the hair simply grab it and pull the end out of the skin. There is no need to remove the whole hair, just get the end out.
Razor Bump Gel For Ingrown Hairs
Another way to treat ingrown hairs is to try to prevent them altogether. You can do this by using razor bump gel. This is usually a two step process. First apply the gel to the area you are about to shave. This will provide a layer of protection for your skin. From here, you can shave as desired. Once completed you then apply a second solution that will make the skin smooth and help prevent dead skin from clogging pours.
Both of these options for preventing ingrown hairs are fairly inexpensive. The average pair of tweezers will cost between ten and fifteen dollars. That is a great price considering they should last forever. The bump gel treatment should cost you around fifteen to thirty dollars. That really is not that bad of a cost if you are prone to ingrown hairs. The average bottle would give you approximately 30 uses.
Ingrown hairs can be very uncomfortable and can be less than attractive. By just spending a couple of extra dollars you can quickly treat and prevent these pesky problems.
