Natural light therapy lamps can help to improve complexion, mood, vision, and even restfulness. One such company that supplies these lamps is Verilux. Verilux goes a long way to improving the physical damage on the body that pollution, chemicals, medications and even cleansers have caused. One of the most beneficial products from the Verliux family is their collection of lamps and lighting options.

If you find yourself having trouble focusing with the yellow light in your room, the natural light spectrum lamps can help you regain it. Just a few minutes of daily light exposure with Verilux lamps can regulate your circadian rhythm, a process that involves your sleeping habits. These light therapy lamps have also been known to reduce cortisol levels that can affect the amount of stress on your body.

History of Verilux Lamps

Verilux lamps not only consume up to ¾ less energy than other lighting, but they are healthier in several regards. Verilux invented, in 1956, Natural Spectrum® light which mimics the properties and advantages of natural sunlight and brings it to the consumer. Natural light is healthier then incandescent lighting because there is less glare, fewer shadows, and with their patented Flicker Elimination Technology™ there is less eye strain which will diminish headaches caused by reading or doing detail craft work.

Verilux has a wide variety of lamps for whatever purpose is needed. From floor lamps to desk lamps, craft lamps and even travel sized book and reading lamps all cost efficient to any other brand on the market. So for approximately the same outlay of cash the consumer will have a healthier source of lighting for their eyes and body. Upkeep on the verilux lamps is the same as any high quality lighting source. Replacement bulbs will be needed at times, but since Verilux lamps use less energy, you will not be forced to change the bulbs as frequently as other lamps.

Light Therapy

When you need a reading lamp or more natural light to counteract the effects of a dark winter, a natural light therapy lamp is able to provide that solution. Seasonal Affective Disorder is one problem where full spectrum lighting can help. Light therapy usually requires a few days of exposure before one can start noticing a change. The light exposure must be consistent and done daily for the best results.

Natural lighting is the main focus of Verilux, and they include products for a person’s everyday life to benefit the mind and body from using it. Verilux doesn’t just have lamps; they have flashlights and lights to help with sleep therapy, skin care and even products to help sanitize every area of the household from using their sources of natural light and the benefits that are produced from such. Costs are comparative to other companies and products durable enough for life.

This is a good hub. I find people who use the wrong lighting in their homes to be living in a space that is cold and feels unfriendly and unnatural. I find there is a difference between the natural lights and the standard "yellow" tint lighting bulbs we have here in the UK. Some of these new bulbs are supposed to be better for the environment, but I find them dark and underpowered and I can't read in that light. Good hub!
